Because we live in Southern California we at the blog feel its important to stress how beautiful our home is...It is particularly fun in the winter and most particularly fun if everyone else is shoveling snow.  Alas, we are not destined to have as much fun as we did last year but we can at least boast that we were able to walk around without coats and even saw people in the water..(personally though I think they were tourists from Minnesota and didn't realize it was pretty darn cold in the water)

We strolled along the water at la jolla shores and even caught a few seals basking in the sunshine.  Of course Mum and Auntie Mum (and now Granny) insisted on photos.....We particularly liked these orange crazy looking plants and are going to see if we could get some for the yard.

Then we had to walk up a HUGE hill to get back to the car.  Bill was not sure he wanted to do it and asked Mum to go get the car and pick us up.

I even tried stink eye halfway up the hill but Mum could have cared less and made us walk the whole way unassisted....Too bad Auntie Jan wasn't here as she would have carried me up the hill...Yeah right.

When we got to the top of the hill we decided to stop for a spot of tea and some crumpets...It was after all "La Jolla"...They didn't have crumpets but there was tea and coffee to be had.  We didn't get a crumb.  Bill was particularly bummed as he had heard that crumpets were delicious........ I don't know where he heard that but rumor is he has friends in England.....

We had to stop at the store on the way home and I tried out a nice bed...It was not as cool as those sofa beds so I did not insist that Mum purchase it for me.  I know when to ask for things and when to keep my mouth closed.....
